This Old Camp...
Camp Lacamas recently celebrated its 75th year serving the local community as an interdenominational youth camp!
Located in the heart of Camas, WA, this historic camp has changed hands and even its name a few times. However, its mission and ministry has remained the same. In February of 2010, Lacamas Creek Communities (a local interdenominational Christian non-profit) became the new owners of Camp Lacamas with fresh vision for the future.
Boasting over 40 gorgeous acres of old growth timber, bordered by Lacamas Creek, as well as all of the facilities and amenities to provide you with the quintessential camp experience, Lacamas combines both rare scenic beauty and recreational fun!
Just 20 minutes east of Portland International Airport, and west of the Columbia Gorge, Camp Lacamas is truly an oasis -- the perfect place for your youth, men's, or women's retreats, youth or kids' camp, staff getaway, team meeting, and more!

Camp Lacamas is a Christian Retreat & Conference Center dedicated to interdenominational Christian evangelism!
Our belief in the importance and unparallelled effectiveness of camp to impact the lives of young people is the reason for everything we do! Statistics show that camp is undeniably the place where the most salvation decisions and calls to the ministry happen. Something awesome occurs when people remove themselves from the day to day world of hectic schedules and inject themselves into God's creation and an environment of reflection, worship, and learning from His word.
The challenges of our present day economy, however, make it very difficult for parents to send their children to camp. This is where our dedication to camp as a ministry really shines...
Camp Lacamas exists to serve regional churches and community minded organizations by providing a facility resource.
Camp Lacamas is owned and operated by Lacamas Creek Communities, a Washington State non-profit organization. Our board and staff are passionate about providing to our community a camp facility that is full featured, well maintained and equipped, but above all else approachable. Our desire is that, in making Camp Lacamas affordable, no camper would be turned away simply due to the expense of registration.

Ben serves as general manager of Camp Lacamas, as well as executive director of Lacamas Creek Communities, the non-profit corporation that owns and operates the camp. Sara works as a registered labor and delivery nurse, and volunteers as a camp nurse for various summer programs. Ben and Sara have been married 7 years, and have a young daughter and a baby boy.
Carl serves as president and Chairman of Lacamas Creek Communities, the non-profit corporation that owns and operates Camp Lacamas. Kalani wears several hats, but officially serves as booking manager for the Camp. Carl and Kalani have been married for 32 years, have four sons, five grand-children, and a large but friendly German Shepherd named 'Gustav'.
Stephen and Fallon serve as facilities managers at Camp Lacamas, and they live on-site to better serve guest groups. Stephen and Fallon have been married for 8 years, have a young boy and baby girl and also serve as youth pastors at a local church which builds into their passion for camp ministry.
David and Anita serve as facilities managers and also live on site to better serve guest groups. They have been married 32 years, and have 3 adult children, 4 grandchildren, and 5 kids at home. They also serve as children's pastors at a local church, and David serves as the program director for Lacamas Creek Communites' summer kids camps.
